Walk, Bike, Pledge

During last election season, we saw something rare: real consensus. Across parties, neighborhoods, and generations, Westporters spoke with one voice about the need for safer streets, stronger connections, and a community that works for walkers, bicyclists, drivers, and residents of all ages and abilities. From candidate forums to conversations at doorsteps, walkability and bikeability became part of the town’s shared vision. Now it is time to turn that energy and common purpose into lasting change.

We’re proud to celebrate Jenna Petok, our Co-Director at Bike Westport, for winning a seat on the RTM — with the highest number of votes in her district!

Congratulations also to Kevin Christie and Amy Wistreich, Westport’s incoming First and Second Selectpersons, who share a strong commitment to walkability, bikeability, and community connection.

And a heartfelt thank-you to Don O’Day & Andrea Moore and David Rosenwaks, for their positive, forward-looking campaigns and continued support for a safer, more connected Westport.

Over 1,000 residents have now signed the Pledge for a Walkable + Bikeable Westport — a clear sign that our community wants safer streets, stronger connections, and a healthier, more vibrant town.

Together, we’re building momentum — one step, one pedal, one pledge at a time.
